G ENERAL PUBLIC INVITED...
The committee is delighted to have the general public in attendance at our gatherings! The Frank Bush Memorial Walk in the Spirit Pow Wow is a traditonal American Indian pow wow. Our pow wow is a teaching pow wow.

What is a Pow Wow?
A pow wow is a traditional social gathering with drumming and dancing. New friendships are made and old friendships are rekindled. A pow wow is not a religious gathering, however, spiritual things can happen. For some, it is an opportunity to dance before the Great Mystery.

Why Should You Come?
Our pow wow is a wonderful place to experience American Indian culture. The Master of Ceremonies explains the dances, the dancers' regalias, the importance of the Drum, and tells stories. During intertribal dances, the MC will invite the spectators into the Circls to dance, too. American Indian made goods and supplies are sold by traders positioned around the Circle. If you would like to taste traditional American Indian foods, food booths offer foods such as wild rice soup, corn soup, buffalo burgers, and fry bread as well as American foods for those who are not feeling adventurous.
The pow wow is a wonderful family outing and a great tool for school teachers wanting to incorporate a hands on cultural experience in the lesson plans. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
